For an argument that purports to be for working class justice, it's pretty striking that you fail to advocate for economic measures to support workers suffering economic dislocations or taxing the wealthy who've profited enormously during the pandemic.
Hi Jen. I try to educate about the epidemiological and pubic health aspects of COVID19. Too many scientists in other fields make uninformed comments about that. I do not want to make the same mistake about economics. You know more and do not need my input on that.
But you are saying that the lockdowns are the biggest attack on the working-class, which is inherently an economic & social question. It would not be if the wealthy were taxed & everyone were granted a pandemic income, paid parental leave & other supports.
Being alive and healthy is of primary importance, and in those aspects alone, the lockdown is a major attack on the working class. You are of course right that financial and social well-being is also important.
