"Surprisingly, the alleged falsehoods are not mentioned, making scientific discourse difficult", but here is my letter in @StanfordDaily defending @SWAtlasHoover, criticized by 98 Stanford faculty members, and his age-targeted #COVID19 strategy.https://www.stanforddaily.com/2020/09/16/letter-to-the-editor-scott-atlas-and-lockdowns/ …

What a load of bunk! An age-targeted strategy might work if we had a testing infrastructure to back it up but 6 months into the pandemic and we still can’t get tested, those who get tests wait for result so long it’s meaningless. What department are you in again? @sadpic.twitter.com/5mGiHn15Hx

Hi Atticus. I am in the Dep of Medicine. Instead of wasting tests on young asymptomatics, we need more frequent testing of nursing home staff, before people visit older relatives, etc. And yes, with more rapid test results.https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-case-against-covid-tests-for-the-young-and-healthy-11599151722 …

Hmm... a scientist citing the @WSJ? Awesome and it allows you to hide behind Rupert’s paywall. We are only beginning to see the tip of the iceberg relating to your “young asymptomatics” since they were largely quarantined until recently. Your “let it burn” strategy is criminal.

Hmm... I guess I was citing myself and a Stanford colleague. I do not like to hide though. Sorry about that.pic.twitter.com/sJK7OeqwOW

Thank you. Thank you for confirming my intial impression that you have little or no idea what you are talking about. Just to clarify, do you actually believe that the size and infectiousness of an asymptomatic population has no effect on the dynamics of the pandemic? #viralload
