Are there people who think COVID-19 is dangerous to kid that would warrant this comparison? I think the issue is children spreading the virus to adults, not dying. I'm not worried about my children drying from COVID. I'm worried about my mother-in-law w/ diabetes I live with.
With a similar situation, my family quickly modified living arrangements. Long time since my son hugged his 70s grandmother, but they talk over the phone and see each other outdoors at distance. Sad, but better than closing schools, and needed regardless.

Good to hear you were able to do that. Unfortunately we're not able to separate as my wife's mother is helping us with child-care & we have lived here since COVID began as we wait to move to a new home. My wife is also a doctor treating COVID patients so life is challenging!

I agree with you about opening schools regardless. I'm lucky my children thrived with online school & became closer being together for months but I realize that is likely the minority. There are challenges but we must overcome them for the kids.
