Seriously, what kind of dick to you have to be to cancel Halloween. As activities go, trick-or-treating doesn’t get any safer. It’s Outdoors. Involves kids (low risk spreaders) in Halloween consumes (i.e. masked). If you’re still scared turn off your light & don’t participate.

I’m not in public health. If I was we would not have locked or embarrassed ourselves with the absurd suggestion that Halloween should be canceled. Masked kids walking around outside - it’s hardly going the super spreading event of the century. Certainly not more than protests.

I’m not sure it’s formidable intellect. I’m no more an epidemiologist than he is. It’s just plain old common sense. I feel like every day since the start of the COVID 19 pandemic has become an exercise in pointing out the obvious. I’m not sure why.

Dear Eric, to uphold the integrity of science, we scientists should (i) use data rather than anecdotes, (ii) not spread retracted rumors as facts, and (iii) stick to our own areas of scientific expertise. In this post, you fail on all three accounts. @DrEricDing
