Dear Eric, to uphold the integrity of science, we scientists should (i) use data rather than anecdotes, (ii) not spread retracted rumors as facts, and (iii) stick to our own areas of scientific expertise. In this post, you fail on all three accounts. @DrEricDing

Eric - Just stop this nonsense. You are totally OUT OF YOUR LANE. The myocarditis football story was killed last wk and debunked as complete tosh by world-renowned cardiologists! Science/academia is a privileged institution to which you have amply demonstrated you do not belong.

You @peakpilot & @MartinKulldorff pretend there is a level of certainty on COVID which just isn't there. Any responsible scientist will confirm that we just DON'T know the long term effects of COVID. Checking for heart damage in elite athletes is just the responsible thing to do

Straightforward question: If Your son / daughter performed in elite sports and suffered from COVID-19 would you recommend that their heart is examined before they resume playing?
