Correct-that’s pretty short term thinking from the lockdown crowd. The downstream impacts of kids missing a year of school in particular, becoming disengaged, dropping out, having lower earnings, lack of health care, etc are not negligible and DO impact mortality.

Uhm, we have seen plenty of people miss years of school due to wars and natural disasters. We have the ability to counteract that.
