They don’t want us to reach herd immunity before the vaccine comes out bc then how can they push it on the masses?

Afaik, herd immunity is only achievable with a vaccine. Previous diseases like smallpox or polio could only be eliminated once vaccine available. Too little known about long-term neurological effects of covid 19 to offer up young people as guinea pigs imo.

Herd immunity and eradication/elimination is not the same thing. In human history, only two diseases have been eradicated, smallpox and rinderpest, both with the help of a vaccine.
