Cumulative COVID19 mortality is 12% higher in Sweden than the US, with major regional differences in both countries, which are partly due to the time when the virus arrived to different regions.

Right, although U.S. didn't have widespread testing/surveillance until mid-April, due to the CDC's insane refusal to use the WHO-approved German tests in January. Probably thousands of undocumented U.S. COVID-19 deaths from January to April, which would put Swedish toll lower.
