It is absolutely stunning to observe how the scientific community has reacted to the public health aspects of the pandemic. When the fog clears, one of the consequences of the pandemic will be public distrust in science and scientists.

I'm sure I have less access to information than you but... Death is not the only negative outcome. Half of all positive cases have long term heart damage. And of the youth who need hospitalization, have a higher death rate than old people that require hospitalization.

Where did you get the “half” number? Firstly, a tiny percentage of “cases” get any permanent damage. Five months is not enough for us to know what’s permanent anyway. Secondly, the “cases” are a small portion of those who actually get infected.

I'm really curious about how you know "herd immunity" will work with just exposure to this virus? I mean it didn't work for smallpox, measles, pertussis, polio, tetanus, or the flu.
