The scientific approach is to look at the country that never closed day-care/primary/middle schools during the pandemic. Sweden had zero #COVID19 deaths among their 1.8 million children ages 1-15. Sweden closed schools for ~3 months. COVID cases were higher both before & after closure. Sweden has universal healthcare, the U.S. has almost 80 million with little or no healthcare. Sweden has relatively high indcidence & mortality among the general population. Science.
