I don’t know about other parents, but we’re finding the shelter-in-place stuff very tough on our 3rd grader, manifesting in often unexpected and varied ways, more often lately. I don’t particularly think schools should reopen, but this is tough on kids. Others seeing this too?

But didn’t teachers in Sweden die as a result?

Except that parents in Sweden did keep their kids home if they were not essential. Sweden has socialized healthcare, PTO for parents of sick kids, a work force already set up to work from home, lower density, and a general culture of not being selfish. Yet, Covid still spread.

Hi Matthew, Swedish children are only kept at home from school if they are sick, and parents working from home still send their kids to school. Since every person in Sweden is "essential", you are technically correct though.
