I'm so sick of this "Well, this is a health and safety issue, so why should teachers be consulted?" BS. It implies that school is just a babysitter for you to drop your kids off at. Effectively educating our youth is the whole purpose of school. CONSULT EDUCATORS!

Hi Martin. What about teachers? Educational assistants? Janitors? Parents? Grandparents? Where is the data showing that children did not contract COVID, since you're only talking about deaths. You realize there is a large area between healthy and dead, right?

Compared to other professions, the relative risk of #COVID19 was 0.9 (95% CI 0.7-1.1) for day-care teachers and 1.1 (95% CI 0.9-1.3) for primary/middle school teachers. Children do get COVID19. In Sweden, ages 1-15, there where 468 reported cases and 8 ICU admissions, per June 14, out of 1.8 million children. To this, add unreported mild and asymptomatic cases. "Primary schools were reopened between May 14 & May 31. During this reopening period, there were 23 primary school exposures in 21 primary schools. 16 were pupils and seven adults. There were 392 pupils & 54 adults placed under quarantine and the last quarantine ended on June 12"

So in a matter of weeks, almost under a month, there were 23 exposures in 21 schools, in a country that has 4 million less people than Ontario.
