I’ve spent a lot of time over the past four months being accused of not caring about people dying. Here is my response.https://medium.com/@staceyrudin/superstition-in-the-pigeon-can-lockdowns-really-stop-death-62bf3bc885a0 …

Thank you Sir. For those of us who read and understand the evidence it’s been a difficult few months. I very much appreciate your willingness to speak out.

The article is compelling, and I understand all of the points you make. The only thing I wonder how you factored in is that the number of cases at a time could affect mortality rate. The original “flatten the curve” is still relevant, no? Less patients should allow better care?
-
Yes, it was important to flatten the curve to avoid overcrowded hospitals, and that is still a concern when states and countries reopen. Hence, self-isolation of the elderly is not only important for their own health.

For my willingness to expose myself to this virus, I am called selfish, and forced against my will to use preventive measures to avoid getting it and passing it on to the other low-risk people I associate with. And the people forcing this on me call themselves the good guys.

I hate cliches, but I think you have been what they're calling "red-pilled." Pay attention, and you'll find that almost every rhetorical attack leveled by the dominant culture is pure projection. They are precisely what they accuse the rest of us of being. It's wild.

All the more reason to accept that we can’t control/avoid COVID and get on with our lives. The whole point of a vaccine is effective antibodies.
