I am all for prioritizing senior political leaders for testing as continuity of leadership is a legitimate policy goal. But it's reasonable to expect that they won't abuse this privilege by avoiding other precautions and by setting a bad example for the public.
The top priority should be to test nursing home and hospital staff that care for older persons, to ensure that those high risk individuals are not infected by the staff
