Our new SYSTEM UPDATE episode -- on whether health experts are sacrificing their credibility at the altar of political ideology -- will debut in 15 minutes, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFZmpL2WI7Y&feature=youtu.be … With @awgaffney, who (mostly) defends the radical shift in the Coronavirus discourse.https://twitter.com/ggreenwald/status/1271131613351555072 …

Today's SYSTEM UPDATE episode debuts at 4 pm ET. It explores this radical, abrupt shift in messaging from public health experts on coronavirus and mass gatherings. With guest @awgaffney. Glenn: You analysis is dishonest. The 180 degree shift is by journalists, politicians and amateur epidemiologists. Among infectious disease epidemiologists, many of us have always been against the lockdown, but herd thinking journalists refuse to listed to e.g. @SunetraGupta.

That's part of my point. I don't think you read the article and I definitely don't think you listened to the show. I was critiquing the mainstream discourse, not saying that every infectious disease specialist agreed.

Posting before the show, I only read the article, but you prove my point. The "mainstream discourse" is generated by journalists talking to non-epidemiologists like @awgaffney, while ignoring infectious disease epidemiologists that disagree with the media generated herd thinking.

          Replying to @MartinKulldorff @ggreenwald and

Glenn: The lockdown is not sound epidemiology. With the media generated "mainstream discourse" falling apart, it takes chutzpah to now criticize "pubic health experts" that were not listened to. Proving my point, you summarily dismiss us in this thread rather than engage. Sad.
