Can you elaborate your reasoning - what data indicate your claim?

The previous days were worse than we thought, and recent days are underreported, so the curve is probably steeper than we previously thought.

The “peak” does not look like that, it is a flattening over several days, that means the previous days are probably at least as high as the highet peak in the past. Which means... things are not going well.

The key to minimize deaths until herd immunity is reached is to implement age specific counter measures.https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/covid-19-counter-measures-should-age-specific-martin-kulldorff/ …

That is much much much easier said than done. Just ask the Swedes. Because that’s what they tried to do. Now a thousand people are dead and thousands more will.

Most mandated counter measures in Sweden have been age neutral. Right now the key is not the number of deaths per population, but the number of deaths per infected, and to minimize that and the final number of deaths, age specific counter measures are needed.

At this point there is no treatment, in 2 months there might be. Rushing into killing people like this is beyond ethical. I’m not even discussing it.

I am one of the people working to find a treatment. You are more optimistic than I am. Until then, not fully protecting the elderly and minimizing the burden on hospitals is beyond ethical.
