What about not telling people what to do and minding your own business?

My point: we address imbalances experienced by girls (STEM) but not boys (e.g. encouraging caring professions)
-
It would be much more important to promote
#traditional family values and gender roles. That would make a healthy society -
That's hardly "minding your own business"

People do what the naturally feel comfortable at. Gender some times influences this. If Girls want to lay bricks thats ok...
-
If Guys want to enter Care work or Nursing, that's ok to.
-
Is it? I volunteered in a primary school; most uncomfortable work environment ever!
-
Yes. Yes it is. There's a bloke and a women in a care home looking after my mother right now, He does a good job.
-
I wasn't treated badly by other staff but parents wondered what the hell someone like me was doing there
-
Yeah thats quite off actually.

Society would benefit if boys learned it is cool to care. See: Sweden
-
That is exactly it. I've been in awe at these people at the moment.

Or just let them do what they want to do & damn the gender politics?
-
Society would benefit if attitude that it is cool to care/nurture was imparted into boys. More teachers to help next gen

Let them all choose their own path
