It's not a , but I'm very excited to announce the first batch of Longevity Impetus Grant awardees!
As we'd hoped, it's a wide range of projects united by the theme of moving towards an *actionable* understanding of #Aging. 🧵of the projects:
Conversation
1) Experiments mapping out not only what biological changes present #Aging, but where and how these changes happen so that we can test their causal role.

On the theme of understanding the causal relationships between aging pathways by distilling large-scale mapping efforts into mechanistic understanding, we will be sponsoring the first Systems Biology of Aging , to promote a new perspective for #UnderstandingAging. 🪙

This is only the beginning. We'll be funding many more projects over the next couple of months, to advance our ability to measure and treat aging.
Applications are still open! See our website (impetusgrants.org) for types of projects we fund, and for the application form.

PS, another innovation for this funding source is that we welcome applications from students and postdocs!

You weren't lying about the turnaround time on grant reviews 🥲

Yep, "Bold research, fast". The median time from application to award is about two and a half weeks.
#Fast enough to make & proud, I hope 😀

Impressed by the fast turnaround. (When) will you be posting exactly what the winning projects were?

It'll be up to recipients whether they want publicity before the projects are completed.
