The “qualified” in qualified immunity so many hide behind, to include judicial immunity needs to have a degree factor. Doctors carry insurance for a reason. Public officials of all types think they are untouchable, at the expense of the public.

Every accused person is innocent until proved guilty; but the Constitution does contemplate pretrial detention. Yet, if an accused is held on bail for a longer period than the sentence permitted, we should treat the judge [or judicial administrators] as "truly horrendous", too.
