They already limit care packages & books to other state and federal prisons. Some prisons have limitations on even getting greeting cards.

Yes. It is extremely worrisome trend. If New York starts to do it, with the fourth largest prison population, we fear it will become the national standard.

It’s so frustrating. Especially now that they are making visitations video only. They are finding every way to squeeze money from prisoners’ families.

Ugh! I know all about the old system of sending care packages to prisons in New York. You could send 50 pound packages. Fresh fruit, vegetables, canned goods...Pretty amazing. Some of the prisons in New York are like medieval dungeons. Care packages are a lifeline to people!
