Strikes me you guys are dodging the most useful criticism of algorithms: the fact that they are often kept secret from public and defense.

Also dodging the fact that implications of using them to set bail very different than, for example, as a tool at sentencing.

I've researched many "risk assessment" tools. States overwhelmingly use tools that r biased to keeping people in jail.Don't see it changing.
