I often wonder if judges that do this, deep in their souls, feel shame. Some pos' don't, I know. But for those who claim to be just following the letter of the law, but don't agree with penalty, how do they simply go on about their day as if this is normal?

So did she ever consult with any educators prior to deciding this horrid decision? Probably not, educators would've shamed her, trust and believe, this student didn't participate out of defiance! There's a reason why districts handled online with gloves on!

Reading this literally makes me feel sick. My son is the same age and struggled a lot with completing online classes. So did his peers. Every parent of a high schooler I know said their kids really struggled.

The treatment of this child is cruel and mean spirited. Punishing her for having a disability. In the middle of a pandemic the problem is the failure to provide supportive resource.

Another example of how we need more funding for social services not law enforcement.

The system is no badly broken.

I believe over half the judges dealing with juveniles (of color) don’t give a damn about them and would rather see them in jail than save them from jail
