Regulating the internet with a 1934 law is not “progressive”. #NetNeutrality

I only wish that political leaders need to understand that going backwards is not the answer. The "Good Ole Days" are over and we all do not want to go back there. We need progressive leadership and open minded political leaders.

Turning the internet into cable isn’t progressive either. Pricing people out of access to 1st amendment rights, and resources related to infrastructure and jobs is NOT progressive. The internet is fine the way it is, aside from Comcast bending TN over a barrel thanks to your kind

The objective is not to be “progressive.” The objective is to allow all users the same access, regardless of their economic status, the size of their business, and the location of their home.

Is internet access now a “right” to be guaranteed by government? No, it’s not. If you believe it should be, call your rep and have them propose amendments to the Constitution.

I pay for internet access, it isn’t given to me. I would like for ISPs to not have the ability to block, throttle and prioritize based on payment.

What other services do you think should be homogeneous? Cell phone plans? No more expedited shipping from Fedex, UPS? What you propose is in contrast to basic economics. You pay more, you get more. That’s how it works.

Internet service is not uniform. I pay Comcast for the highest internet download speed like I pay Verizon for monthly data packages. My stance is that certain segments of the population should not priced out of access to certain information.

Just to be clear, everyone should have access to Comcast’s highest Internet speed, or equivalent, regardless of their geographic location or ability to pay?

Why do you only want to be progressive when it benefits your big donors? You’re the same person who voted against equal pay for women, and spearheaded the legislation to prevent the DEA from being able to freeze suspicious shipments of opioids.
