Okay. I have 2 questions. 1 is this really a big issue right now? and 2 what about the children who already exist but live in poverty, are malnourished, or otherwise not having basic needs met? Are we fighting this hard for them?

Are you going to add a clause that guarantees health insurance for the mother and the baby?
-
Thanks for this. Great piece and I will use it everytime I see a post of hers.

I am pro-choice but I agree with this bill. The law has to draw a line. Born = rights.

God forbid that baby is disabled or if the baby is born into a poor family because your compassion ends after birth. Welfare? Nope! Food stamps? Nope! Health care? Nope! Public education? Hell no.

"We care until you're born" may as well be the official Republican motto.
-
I agree. But this is a smokescreen to deflect from the shutdown. Just look at all the crazy people coming out of the woodwork Folks, Marsha is playing base politics. Why introduce this today? R's have a majority in both houses and the Presidency.
-
So the fact that you like welfare excuses your support for infanticide? Interesting.

No contradiction in (1) not wanting babies killed and (2) wanting to create a society where more people earn and fewer people are dependent on welfare.
-
I get it. Those stupid babies should get jobs and stop relying on our tax dollars to eat. You totally nailed it.
-
A child who is given up for adoption at birth becomes a ward of the state. I guarantee you 100% of Republicans in Congress think we should care for parentless children. Find me a Republican bill to stop taking care of orphans. I’ll wait.
-
Lol keep shifting those goalposts. You really don't want to talk about how Republicans are happy to screw over kids who are born to poor parents. Who the hell is talking about orphans besides you? What a ridiculous argument point.
