Today, @Interior announced improvements to regulations of the Endangered Species Act. This initiative echoes the Paving the Way for Rural America Act, which I introduced with @sendavidperdue and @senhydesmith, to remove outdated, burdensome regulatory hurdles from rural areas.
Our legislation will increase access to better economic opportunities and infrastructure projects. Tennessee’s rural communities are the heart of our state’s agriculture businesses. We should not have laws in place that hinder, rather than help, economic development.
Your Paving act exempts rural communities from the Endangered Species Act, the National Environmental Policies Act & the National Historic Preservation Act.
