This week the Senate is commemorating the passage of the 19th Amendment! Tennessee played a unique role in the women’s suffrage movement - our state was the 36th and final state needed to ratify the Amendment.

Last month, @gillibrandny and I introduced the Women’s Suffrage Commemorative Coin Act to remember those who worked to give women the right to vote throughout the centennial celebration.
