Tennesseans are excited to see @amazon coming to Nashville, and look forward to the jobs and investment it will bring to our economy.
Marsha, did you manage to guarantee that those jobs would be quality/going to ppl already in Tennessee?
Nashvillians and Tennesseans are still benefitting from the pro-business policies of @PhilBredesen.
I for one am not excited about the Nashville location. Our law enforcement, firefighters and schools need that funding that was given to Amazon.
Tennessee can check out the stats in Seattle and what the evidence shows of Amazon power plays against the public good on a daily basis. They have also scientifically measured long term impacts on population being forced to flee for wealthy newcomers joining Amazon.
My sister is a long time resident of Seattle. She can cite hundreds of things Amazon has done to change the city and not for the better.
And we are looking forward to organizing their ass.
