The fundamental problem is that Silicon Valley doesn’t believe that what Republicans say is “speech”. These aren’t “mistakes” or a series of unfortunate coincidences. We are being deliberately censored. #stopthebias

Welcome to Capitalism, sweetheart. That economic ideology you fight for is the same one allowing private businesses to kick content violators off their platforms– including Republicans. As a Tennessean I'm ecstatic to be able to vote against you this November 🇺🇸

Oh my goodness! You can’t seriously be advocating for Alex Jones? He thinks Sandy Hook was fake. Marsh, as a parent of young children, I find your tweet highly offensive and tone deaf. Are you willing to stoop to such levels to win an ejection? You are not fit for office.

Marsha, you can't seriously be referring to Alex Jones! Are you? If so, you just don't understand... his hate speech isn't about right vs left; it's about right vs wrong. Do you really want to advocate for wrong? Just stop! Good pll wil #VoteBredesen

I'm right there with you Kathy. I'll never vote for her. And if she is trying to protect the speech of Alex Jones, then that is a loser for sure.

Maaaaaaaybe, Republicans and "republican speech" is becoming closely aligned with hate speech and that's something you all have to deal with.

Censorship is certainly a thing, but social media is owned by private businesses, who have the right to set guidelines and standards. If they are shutting down rational conservatives then shame on them. But let's not be advocating for nutty Alex Jones or his Infowars BS.

Yes and no. FB is a platform, a forum for the distribution of info. They enjoy the protection of Sec 230 of the Decency Law, which exempts them from responsibility for their content while allowing oversight for “offensive” content. But political speech is supposed to be protected

Is Info Wars political speech or wild conspiracies that would be best described as utter nonsense? Stating a differing opinion is one thing, outright lying for purpose of ratings is another.

Then we should ban CNN next. But yes, a “wild conspiracy” is political speech if it relates to a political issue, person, etc. The problem w/banning anything is its a slippery slope, & it infringes on the rights of otrs. Control is accomplished through choicees, not censorship
