Unless we all feel the effects of Trump's terrible policies, posturing and ignorance, it will continue. This will inconvenience me. Fine. I don't care. What's happening is wrong and we need to fight it EN MASSE.

And how many would lose their jobs, sadly? I’m getting paid but I would walk on their behalf.
-
I don't know but we need to talk about it.
-
I agree. This is ridiculous. But I also know that it has the potential to make things worse for a lot of people, so those of us who sit in a place of privilege could be sticking our necks out for those who don't.
-
So that's where we find organizations that help those in need. And support them supporting others. Rather than allowing Trump to target 800K+ people and swagger. We need to stand as one.
-
I remember when we didn't have a POS cosplaying as president. That was nice. I agree. It's damn time that We The People stand the fuck up. Honestly, I've wondered why we haven't been in the streets every day since Jan 20, 2017.

The Justice Department is affected by the shutdown. No wonder he wants it to last for months or years. The agencies affected by the shutdown include Agriculture, Commerce, Justice, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, State, Transportation and Treasury.
-
And the IRS. No regular staff to find Trump's tax returns and xerox them!

One of my professors, a proud libertarian, told me “ never work for free”.

I love that idea but could he use that to declare a national emergency or martial law? He’s so volatile and so vile.
-
I don’t think the current Congress would allow him to declare a national emergency over himself being inconvenienced — and definitely people would start pouring into the streets pretty quickly.
-
And anyway it’s already happening, a grassroots kind of strike - we used to call it blue flu.https://twitter.com/activist360/status/1081336312190431232?s=21 …

I agree 100%! Why aren’t we marching in the streets for federal employees?

No one should have to work for free. And if they are, does the Orange Mutant expect them to do their jobs at 100%?

We signed a no strike pledge. A national sickout is possible. https://www.opm.gov/forms/pdf_fill/sf61.pdf …

I don't know if that's a good idea but it may come to that and I would support it
