If voters ask us to reduce spending & it’s found to be constitutional, we should respect it & cut projects that don’t pass a climate lens. After that, see what the situation looks like & come back with a plan. BUT there are still ballots to count & court challenges ahead 1st

I disagree. As a statewide leader, you must push a bigger vision of a climate-friendly future. Only 55% of people voted for the deceptive Tim Eyman initiative. This is a republic, and you are an elected official. You must lead.

Did they ask to reduce spending though? Voters could have been sending lots of different messages: "the valuation formula sucks"; "we live in E WA and hate Sound Transit, for some reason"; "we want cheap car tabs." This is why there's going to be a logrolling challenge.

Voters didn’t ask to reduce spending. They asked fo pay less for their car tabs (for which I disagree). We need a state income tax and we needed it 40 years ago.
