Telling teachers what to teach is the primary function of the state and it’s implementation and enforcement agency, TEA. It’s why we have TEKS and Commissioner’s List on allowable resources.

The sad irony of the passage of #HB3979 is that we have taught race for decades in TX - 3\5ths, slavery, Jim Crow... Standard, fact-based education. This attempt to stop teaching facts is the clear cut, political position.
