This is not the way the United States government operates, and it is not the way members of the Intelligence Committees are supposed to act.

As a member of Congress, getting appointed to an Intelligence Committee is a very sobering proposition. You hear things that you have to keep secret, that you can’t share with anyone, because you know if you do reveal classified information, people can die.

There are processes in our government that allow for declassification in a reasonable, rational way that protects the sources and methods of our intelligence community. This political charade with the
#NunesMemo isn’t it.Show this thread -
FISA warrants and other classified intelligence materials aren’t toys for members of Congress to use in partisan games. They’re important tools that the dedicated men and women of the Intelligence community use to keep us safe and literally save American lives.

Even Trump-appointed officials at the FBI have voiced “grave concerns” about its accuracy, and his appointees at the DOJ have warned that releasing the memo would be “extraordinarily reckless.”

It’s not hard to figure out the purpose of this political shell game, but it is remarkable the lengths to which some will go to shield the President from this investigation. http://www.cnn.com/2018/02/01/politics/nunes-memo-donald-trump/index.html …

None of this is normal. We are watching a coordinated effort to undermine the Russia investigation, our nation’s law enforcement agencies, and Special Counsel Mueller play out in front of our eyes.

Any word why 3 Russian spies were secretly brought in to the WH and country? One of them was even sanctioned and needed a special visa, who gave it to him and why? What was his meeting with Pompeo about & who else met with them?
-
Pompeo and Dan Coates. I want the answer to this as well. Because god knows Rex Tillerson has nothing to gain if sanctions are lifted

The extent to which Nunes's and the
@gop's actions echo McCarthyism, a shameful moment in our nation's past, are too strong not to notice. In the 1950s it was Eisenhower and other Republicans who shut down McCarthy. Where are such patriots today?https://twitter.com/SethCotlar/status/959079505036853248 … -

Hey Mark the people will decide that not you. You say if Pres. has nothin to hide… Well that goes for FBI/DOJ let the truth out.
-
Using your logic, shouldn't both memos be released? Or, should the people only be fed cherry picked information by the majority? How can the people truly make a decision without all relevant information? I don't trust Nunes to put all relevant information forth.
-
And *crickets* from them, eh? Only when it suits my purpose is the motto of most on the right.

Yep. No answers. Oh well.....
