FINALLY. The shame and blame of consumers / end users telling them that they are responsible for not changing password (etc) and that is why they get hacked has been ridiculous. It’s time for multi-billion $ companies made RICH by consumers to protect the consumers!

Suggestion: an amendment that makes companies give ppl the option to have personal info wiped from database, not just removed from mailing list. Thank you for considering this.

Smart move and hope it places prison time w/ no opportunity for corporation to bargain a fine in lieu. Accountability always becomes a fine equal to a buy off rather than a true penalty.
