You’re pathetic, @MarkWarner. They were allowed here due to earthquakes in 2002. It was a temp allowance. Plus, if they wanted to be US citizens, they’ve had time to apply legally. SMH at the partisan sludge you spew.

For someone who claims to protect life, you have an odd way of showing it. You should check on how TPS hinders the chances of getting US citizenship, too. May I suggest you edit your Twitter bio to read "I protect some life, the life I randomly decide is worth protecting."

We are standing on a desperately fragile edge w/ too many pushing from all directions. We must stand side by side, arms locked, to protect the innocent, weak, frightened & isolated souls who cling to the dream that America is truly the land of the Free and the home of the Brave!pic.twitter.com/qRLuVQuVax

Wisely said. Our country is the great experiment in which we've overcome adversity many times before - through unity. I believe our unified compassion for those in need is stronger than the forces of greed and corruption. We have the bravery to vote them out of power.

Indeed we do...and I believe... No, I TRUST that we will!

Shame on
@realDonaldTrump . If only he would spend a day in these folks’ shoes. They have built their lives here. He does not represent our Founding Father’s America.

How about trying a path to citizenship again? Reduce the fees for these folks, make the goal affordable, many not applying because of costs. We need to stop equating good people with the criminals, reach out to them and offer a realistic program to gain citizenship.

Trump should not extend legislation. This is not an executive power. It was democrats in Congress who created a temporary status for these people. It is now the job of congress to create a permanent solution. Don’t deflect legislative responsibility to the executive branch.

Congress needs to do something to prevent this from happening. The USA allowed them to make a home here for decades. It’s a travesty to force them to leave.

Hard to fathom that little if anything has been done to give this people permanent status. Please move forward ASAP on a legislative solution for these and other people that are currently living here in limbo.

Apart from enlarging the population on the plantation, why are illegal aliens entitled to anything but the exit door?

I've given up on expecting GOP in congress to be moved by compassion or pity.// "Heartbreaking. This morning there are thousands more stories like this for Va’s Salvadoran community, now that Trump Admin has arbitrarily ended TPS program." https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/immigration/i-consider-this-my-country-salvadorans-in-us-brace-for-tps-decision/2018/01/07/77914402-f19e-11e7-b3bf-ab90a706e175_story.html?utm_term=.4ce1d50f7ef4 … …

hey Warner -- tell that to all the victims of MI 13 or whatever they call themselves
-
You are comparing members of a violent gang (MS13), some of whom are legal residents, to people that are here under protections abiding by the law, working, paying taxes and with families. Not comparable.
