But they listened to the same subset of constituents that they’ve been listening to since, well, always. It’s silly that anyone thinks a Republican lawmaker listens to their constituents on anything other than abortion laws, and gun rights. No other policy is for you, it’s for 1%

They are counting on American's short memory. When deficit rises and Democrats have control in Congress, they will have to raise taxes. Or GOP will cut Medicare/Social Sec to cover debt if they stay in control. Remember this moment.
