Wow. New @MaristPoll finds 78% of Americans believe online political ads should have to disclose who paid for the ad. We need #HonestAds.

Yes, but it needs to be real disclosure not some PAC name with freedom, values, or America in the title.

Senator, if a PAC pays for the Ad, Americans should also know who gave to the PAC to fund the Ads. Transparency is the key.pic.twitter.com/wQOyukpBEN

Should probably first overturn #CitizensUnited so we can know who paid for who paid for the ad.

How about dirty money leaving politics completely? How do we make that happen? Money shouldn't rule the world.

It’ll always rule the world to some extent....but it does NOT belong in the politics - state/legislative/executive elections or presidential appoinments - of a genuine, healthy, representative democracy.

Truth in advertising laws should apply to political ads and political parties should be covered by better business bureaus.

Problem is the laws can’t be enforced when Facebook/Twitter/Google help bad actors ensure only the people they want to see the ads do so.

Agreed.... But the first step is to pass the laws, or else there is nothing to enforce.

True. Followed by an independent watchdog group that requires ads get their approval prior to going public.
