Do not disagree about where the decision belongs, but not sure how that relates to who pays for it. Some drugs I have to pay for ...
-
The women are paying for it thru their insurance coverage. The employers are now allowed to deny it to them on religious/moral grounds.
-
Fair point - although employers/insurance determine copays/coverage for a lot of things including those that are more medically necessary.
-
So? Employers should NOT get to tell women what medication they can take. It's the WOMAN'S religion or morals that count, not employers'.
-
Struggling though with religion/moral based justification for that decision though. Medical necessity and cost factors seem more appropriate
-
It's ridiculous, pandering, paternalistic, and against individual freedom.
-
Individual freedom to do something does not necessarily include that others have to pay for it. Interesting perspectives to think through.
-
Point: denying someone their own choices/beliefs based on YOUR choices/beliefs (and you hold the cards) is the very definition of NO freedom

Hope they increase their maternity benefits, sick days, parental leave, etc., and don't cover vasectomies, penis pumps/implants, or Viagra.
