As Senate Intel kicks off its social media hearing today, I’m deeply disappointed that @Google chose not to send its top corporate leadership. Our members have tough questions about structural vulnerabilities on a number of Google’s platforms that we need answered.

I hope you read law Professor Glenn Reynolds WSJ article re digital platforms/ whether these social media companies should be seen as "publishers" (that can edit but are legally responsible) vs. mere "conduits" (where they avoid responsibility, but must allow everyone to speak!)

Google should be regulated like a public utility. They have a net monopoly of internet traffic. They used to call my business daily, if not several times trying to get me to buy their listing. Even after I insisted they remove my number from their call list.
