In just four months, the American people will determine the makeup of the United States Senate. Given the precedent set by Leader McConnell in 2016, it is only appropriate that the Senate wait until the new Congress is seated to consider any nomination to the Supreme Court.

No. He has soiled his decades of service by abandoning his country at this most pivotal time. Will he look back on a SC opinion permitting POTUS to pardon himself and understand he has doomed America? Shopping for my handmaiden outfit now.

I agree with you on replacing Justice Kennedy after congress has changed, but to hell with Justice Kennedy and his son!! Don't tell us he wasn't blackmailed into votes against his record the day before his announcement!!

I would be more appreciative if Justice Kennedy had delayed his retirement until after the election. I think it will really suck for him to retire and see a lifetime of wisdom and sanity destroyed.

Holding off on this confirmation would be the right thing to do, but not necessarily the Right thing to do. McConnell doesn't mind being exposed for a hypocrite to push Trumps agenda, because this Administration rewards it.

The people are depending on Dems to
#withholdconsent, so Donald Trump may not pick a 5th justice that would pledge loyalty to him and obstruct the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.#withholdconsent#withholdconsent#withholdconsent#withholdconsentThanks. Any possible nominee would need to recuse themselves on issues of presidential pardons, indictments, obstruction of justice, testimony, and emoluments.... A nominee appointed by Trump that won't recuse isn't honorable enough to be worthy of the SC.https://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/please-read-this-through-hes-right …

That’s right! If T is indicted or up on charges a new appointee would have to recuse her/himself on voting for scenarios T related!

Thank you, sir, and yes, you need to BLOCK. Use the turtle's actions during the Garland mess. It's also odd timing for the Justice, no? Considering his son worked so closely w/trump. Why isn't this a bigger story, hmmm?https://www.politico.com/story/2017/04/donald-trump-supreme-court-236925 …

My point was that we don't have the advantage that they had to actually do what they did

A president that is currently under federal investigation should not be permitted to choose a supreme court member.

I liked your first tweet much better. Kennedy did incalculable damage to this country with Citizens United alone.
