In the mayor, chancellor, and open at any cost folks defense, it’s not like they could see that the weather would change and the second wave would actually happen. NYC has a closed border, so internet access for underprivileged children wasn’t on their radar.

Ugh. There just doesn’t seem a great plan for these circumstances. Since March there should’ve been talk or what a remote learning environment will look like and start ordering devices then and creating discounted plans that would be paid through school funding.
