Stick to the facts about Coronavirus by getting your info from trained medical professionals and reliable sources. Basic hygiene rules apply. Call out hate when you see it, and continue to shop, dine and go about your normal everyday routine.

Standing with Chinese community leaders and my colleagues today because we will not tolerate rising xenophobia and anti-Asian/anti-Chinese sentiment we've seen related to Coronavirus. The virus of misinformation is a greater threat than Coronavirus itself.

Many New Yorkers were forced out of Build it Back program because they purchased homes with finished basements that were not up to code, no fault of their own. If de Blasio advances this measure, he should let Build it Back reopen process to working families that were pushed out

It is unacceptable. I was told repairs would be made this morning when I alerted NYCHA last night

There is a real opportunity to re-imagine mass transit in New York. How can New York become a more equitable place AND encourage people to use public transit? Free subways and buses.

The question I have is in a state of a budget approaching $180 billion, why isn’t mass transit free? With a single measure, we can take a big bite out of poverty, mass incarceration, income inequality, and our impact on climate change.

Coney Island residents shouldn't have to travel to another neighborhood, borough or anywhere else to conduct basic banking. We've connected with and we'll be asking the FDIC to investigate as we continue confronting this banking crisis head-on.

Insane that gov’t leaders would root for failure of “gov’t” public schools. You can’t starve the system & then point fingers at signs of malnutrition. Rather than fund space forces on Mars, let’s fund schools with well-paid educators, social workers/counselors, nurses, art,& more

I've stood in the Senate halls calling for the release of the $4 billion in Foundation Aid that our public schools are owed more times than I can count. Our children & educators desperately need these funds immediately and we won't rest until they're released!

No one should have to travel miles to conduct basic banking. But with just one full-service bank left in our community, many of my constituents in Coney Island have no choice. For now. Tune in to tonight at 10 pm to find out how I'm working to confront this banking crisis.

I'm confronting the banking crisis in Coney Island head on, because it is insulting to my constituents when they are told they should just travel to a different neighborhood in order to conduct basic day-to-day banking.

Too many NYers lack access to affordable banking services, as shown by this story. This year's agenda includes important measures to expand financial inclusion (). will work w & others to address this need.
