    Not content w/ one humiliating loss in the UNSC, Pompeo is going for another. Trying to unilaterally snapback UN sanctions will have no impact on Iran (unless it unwisely pulls out of the JCPOA), but will undermine the power of other UN sanctions. My take:

    I hope this suggestion has legs.

    It's long past time to sanction the lawyers who are bringing these frivolous suits. Judges should impose hefty fines and refer the lawyers to bar disciplinary committees.

    Except that the US does know how to run elections. Now is the time for all our other leaders to demonstrate that in a democracy, the voters and the law prevail. The world could use such a message; Americans could use it still more.

    Trump delivers a line that is an absolute jackpot for foreign adversaries: "We run all over the world telling people how to run their elections. We don't even know how to run ours."

    Not supported by facts, just to name few negotiated: -detainee exchanges with US (incl under Obama & Trump), European govs, Australia -regional matters: indirectly with US re Afghanistan & Iraq; with E3/EU on Yemen Quid-pro-quo resulted in movement, not long-term pressure.
