That stupid myth is only going to damage medicine more. It’s innumerate, suggesting > 50% of all deaths in hospitals are due to error, and inconsistent with other, better methodology suggesting a number closer to 3%. Been sayin it for years, this BS was going to be weaponised.

The critical problem is the methodology of the global trigger tool, it’s not been reverse validated to prove it isn’t nonspecific for dying patients in general. Since the algorithmic approach just detects death we are nearing unity with each subsequent measurement.
