I try to read most of the stuff Nassim Nicholas Taleb writes. Not because we agree on everything, or that he is always right, but he is always thought provoking. And that is high praise.

To everyone. In real courtrooms, there are real rules one must follow regarding real evidence. And smart lawyers don't yell "objection' very often - it makes jurors think you are hiding something. And "I strenuously object" is not an objection. Really.

The sacrifice bunt is the stupidest play in baseball. Dumb, reduces the odds of scoring. Idiotic. Unless...its a pitcher bunting. Then OK.

This will play. Now, if we can only get Democrats to embrace it rather than corporateism.

December 31, 1900 — Selma Burke was born. She didn't let the lack of recognition stop her from doing what she loved. Her relief sculpture of FDR is minted on the American dime.

I disapprove. And I will not pay attention to Twitter ads until it reverses that policy. Nor use the services of Twitter advertisers personally or in my business.

"Think of the money — $9700 every three months, for up to seven years — that’s $271,600, from one patient. If you had even a hundred children taking these drugs for seven years, that’s $27 million in drug sales."

To those I know in the Twitterverse: Holiday music and movies have reminded me just how talented Astaire, Rosie Clooney, Crosby, Day, Ella, Danny Kaye, Sinatra, and Torme were.

Remember, Twitter bans people for legitimate and accurate statements. It keeps paedophiles, anti-semites, and misogynists.

I was reported for hate speech for saying he is a man and I was banned for 12 hours (all features, not limited as it says). I was shown a page about deadnaming after this which I thought I'd screenshotted but haven't. To not be permanently banned I had to delete my tweet.
