    NC is 1 of 4 states granted waivers for certain federal education requirements so school districts can pilot new approaches. In NC, the focus will be on class size, school-year schedules and funding to schools in areas of need.

    The Education Flexibility program allows participating states to waive certain federal education requirements so that school districts can try new approaches.
