    It's ! I'm lucky to have a job where I can play a part in saving wetlands across the globe. But I also spend a lot of my free time in them because I love them and their wildlife so much

    Wetlands are a biological resource akin to rainforests and coral reefs. Where wetlands suffer, biodiversity suffers too.

    If there is a positive out of this mess, I suggest that it highlights the importance of REPLICATING STUDIES on other species and places ... results won't be as earth-shattering, but building evidence is key (see recent results on ocean acidification!)

    Inuit have relied on the regularity of the seasons to successfully harvest food from the land and sea. For this reason, food security in the North is directly affected by changes we see in our ecosystems as a result of human-induced climate change.
