Every single measure of this pandemic is an undercount. Every. Single. One. Confirmed cases? Skewed by lack of testing. Hospitalizations? Skewed by huge # of sick people we are sending home because there's no room in ERs. Deaths? Massive undercount because of dying at home.

There's also one very positive thing we're undercounting: how many have immunity. Here's why that matters:https://twitter.com/MarkLevineNYC/status/1248963600221339653?s=19 …

There's one very positive thing that we're undercounting: the # who have recovered from covid and gained immunity. We need widespread anti-body testing to measure this. Will help us restart the economy by knowing who can go back to work, and how close we are to herd immunity.

YES. And deaths in ambulances. And deaths in hospitals of people who never had a test. All of them.

Yes we know. Information is a luxury item. This is true everywhere btw We will only know for sure next year when total deaths are compared to expected deaths based on previous years.

Total deaths in a city or region will tell the tale I would think. NYC FD supposedly seeing 3-5 times the cardiac calls. Maybe those are co-morbidities?
