    I recently read “Every Tool’s A Hammer” by Adam Savage aka , and loved the way he told his own story, and offered thoughtful, wise, and gently funny advice to his readers. His more recent writing is even better; I only wish that this tweet came as an audiobook.

    Technically, the height of an equilateral △ is (side * √3.0) ÷ 2.0. However, the approximation ((side * 222) >> 8) is correct within 1%, & much faster. For more precision, ((side * 56755) >> 16) is correct to within 0.001%, & still very fast. Also I'm going to have a drink now.
