We are not used to medicine being overly politicized but it does happen and we can take the lessons of those fields that have been politicized -like climate change - to heart. Let’s not relearn their hard won knowledge from scratch.

Jha lead with the truth (good) but you have to follow with counterprogramming against the lies. I would have pointed out the problems with anecdote, that *no one* can “see” clinical effects when the survival differences are slivers of a percent. That this is bias.

You can do it nonconfrontationally. You acknowledge their experience is real, but why such experiences are subject to bias and why RCTs uncover those biases.
