Not so fast there, Joe. There’s a lot of folks out there who lost health plans the Obama administration flatly told them they could keep.https://twitter.com/thehill/status/1138846169868582912 …

I disagree that was a lie. It certainly was a misunderstanding. ACA had built-in consumer protections. It remains the only bill passed that defines a minimum standard defining adequate insurance coverage. Lots of people cried foul when they lost their cheap "streetsurance."

But this requires you to think he was trying to deceive people out of shitty, low-cost, no coverage scam plans, when he was trying to protect people from being exploited by them. Yes, people lost their do-nothing plans. But those weren't really insurance in the first place.

People loved those plans, right up until the second they needed them. ACA regulated those shit plans out of existence, where they belong. Trump keeps on trying to loosen regulations to bring them back, because as a grifter, he appreciates their art.

Yep. And those plans are roaring back, unfortunately.

Seen it, hate it, have people once again crying in anguish over it. It's not insurance if it doesn't protect you from ruin! I am, unfortunately, a source of financial ruin for people. I dislike this intensely. I would ask for more insurance paternalism.

A market so free you can sell magic beans to protect a family.
Then the Pres comes along and says, “no more of this magic beans shit.”
No more magic beans! But what will protect my children!
Thanks Obama.
